One of the stereotypes I see now that I’ve been at PAWS Shelter of Central Texas for a while is this one - the dogs who’ve been there the longest have a stigma attached to them. Some of them do have more “challenges”, like they’re dog-selective (ahem… that was Buddy… who now lives beautifully with 3 dog siblings and 4 kitties)… but many of them don’t have challenges at all.
