It might seem weird at first to practice using a computer on paper, but I promise it’s a game changer! Students have to learn all of these new terms when using a laptop for the first time. The trackpad can be especially tricky if they are used to a touchscreen device like a tablet. By practicing on paper we are creating a common language and mastering the physical skills so that when it’s time to transfer this knowledge to a laptop it becomes significantly easier.
